One of the most extraordinary experiences you can have on the Island of Elba is a dive to the wreck of Elviscot, which lies about 150 metres from Pomonte beach, near the Ogliera breakwater, at a depth of just -12 metres. Pomonte is a small village located on the slopes of Mount Capanne, on the west coast of the Island of Elba, and is only 5 km from Hotel Anna.
This fascinating dive site is easily accessible even to less experienced divers and snorkelers: the shallow depth allows you to enjoy the stunning spectacle of marine life that thrives among the remains of the ship just a short distance from the water’s surface.
Those who want to explore the wreck in diving can go to the numerous diving centres on the island, which offer diving excursions in the many diving points, from the simplest to the deepest, depending on the level of preparation; in addition, each diving centre organises diving courses for all levels: from the very first experience in the sea to advanced courses.
The diving centres are run by trained diving guides who know Elba well and will guide you through exciting adventures.
